What could be better than a good cup of tea? Whether it is from white to black and green to oolong, this is a tasty healthy beverage the whole family can enjoy. Tea is not just for the Brits or Asians. I enjoy a large cup of black tea with a small amount of cane sugar and a splash of whole milk. There are other types of tea I partake in such as spicey chai, green, sage, camomile, and various herbals including hibiscus.
Many may only consider tea to be a drink for a child’s mock tea party or for women who like yoga. But, I am here to tell you that as a man, it helped me perform athletically, academically, and in all walks of life. Never to be outdone.
- Twinings English Breakfast:
These 100 gram cans have been a staple for me for years. A great go to with a blend of Kenyan Black, Assam, Keemun, and Ceylon. A smooth full-bodied blend that is best enjoyed with a steep time of 4 minutes. Best served with a splash of whole milk and cane sugar. Never over use the milk and be careful with sugar, generally I use almost as much sugar as loose tea by volume with the advantage on the tea side, not the sugar.
A great example of an Irish Breakfast tea. This one is heavily weighted to an Assam blend with Kenyan Black as well. It is pure full-bodied a bit malty and smooth. I drank Barry’s for many years and I give this one the edge. (Not to knock Barry’s!) 4 minute steep time. Splash of milk and light sugar, this one is a hit!.
