Left-Wing vs. Right-Wing

By: Karl Richards

Is it really?  Are ANTIFA and their left-wing allies really fighting against a right wing cause?  Let's weigh in on the case and see.  ANTIFA, the group that the media has discusses as if they are saviors against a new uprising of Neo-NAZI white hate groups seem to be growing in strength of the masses.  But, who are they?  Who are they fighting?  If they are fighting what the media calls, "White Nationalists"  (WN for short) who are they?  Are the WN organized?  Are they a threat?  What they labeled as WN are of several origins.  Neo-NAZIs, KKK, and various white persons from different parts of the country.  What were these WN protesting?  The removal of statues in Virginia.

Let's explore what the Southern Poverty Law Center defines as a WN:  https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/ideology/white-nationalist

White nationalist groups espouse white supremacist or white separatist ideologies, often focusing on the alleged inferiority of non-whites.

Groups listed in a variety of other categories - Ku Klux Klan, neo-Confederate, neo-Nazi, racist skinhead, and Christian Identity - could also be fairly described as "white nationalist."

These groups range from those that use racial slurs and issue calls for violence to others that present themselves as serious, non-violent organizations and employ the language of academia.

Oddly enough, their broad definition would also include those of Christian identity.  It would also be safe to say those who are true Nationalists by definition as well as those who would choose to preserve the statues could also be included in this group.

The last part of their definition is also odd due to their saying, "Non-violent organizations and employ the language of academia."  That might sound a lot like the left-wing group of direct action, ANTIFA?  Never forget that,"direct action" is a code word for vigilantism and violent means for what those individuals believe is a moral and or ethical cause.  Those who live by violence tend to dislike those who do the same but oppose them.  There are many parallels that can be made between ANTIFA and these so-called White Nationalists:

  1. Both wear hoods though one is white and one is black.
  2. Both use fear and intimidation of their opposition.
  3. Both use race as a weapon.  One saying it is wrong to be white(using the term White Privilege),  another saying being white is the only right.
  4. Both are not afraid to use violence to push their agenda.
  5. Both participate in criminal behavior.  Such as injuring others and various forms of vandalism.
  6. Both only act as a force of intimidation when they have superior and/or large number.
  7. Both support a fascist ideology.  (Though ANTIFA is more of a Bolshevism and the other would be more of the reactions that took place in the Wiemar Republic after WWI)
  8. Both are a from a parent left-wing ideology.  (I will go into this in the next paragraph)

I remember taking political science in my studies at a large university.  In this class, right-wing (fascism) and left-wing (socialism/communism) were defined as opposing views as if they were the antithesis of one another.  But, are they?  As defined by historical scholar Dinesh D'Souza in his book  The Big Lie: Exposing the NAZI Roots of the American Left, D'Souza shows how both communism and fascism both have socialist roots.  Which also means they are both rooted in left-wing ideology. That clearly is not that of ideas that are diametrically opposed are they?  This is something that the left-wing clearly was able to push away from itself in books starting with political science at the university level.

What really makes the point of calling them ANTIFA-FA is how they despise free speech.  They support the 1st. Amendment of the American Constitution so long as it supports their cause.  They use such quotes as.

No free-speech for NAZIs.  It is "OK" to punch a NAZI.

For those who claim to be liberals, to take away the speech of another is the antithesis to one of the key points of liberalism.  They are simply not who they claim to be.  The media is quite complicit in the growth of ANTIFA.  The media shows them as peaceful counter-protestors.  Much of this propaganda has been successful in showing how ANTIFA are just nice kids that want to stop fascism.  (By using fascist tactics!)

This cartoon links to a great example of what happens if one disagrees with their cause.  Oh, they believe in free-speech all right!
